Review:"Restaurant number 4000 listed ! Mr. Miguel Martín Malcolm from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain has sent the following review from his favourite Japanese restaurant on this Spanish island. The restaurant ‘Kamakura’. Dear Sushi World Guide I'm also a Sushi addict. Just been reading your page and would like to introduce you to a small Restaurant on Las Palmas, Canary Islands. It's called ‘Kamakura’, fantastic place fantastic food .... fantastic everything. There has been a very large Japaneese community on the island for more than 50 years ( related to fish business) which has brought this culture to the island. This small restaurant , max capacity 40 persons , makes you feel at home as soon as you pass the door. It's run by Mrs. Keiko and her husband Daniel. What makes this restaurant so special is the new perspective Daniel has given to Sushi, he has mastered the fusion between Japanese quality and traditions with Spanish flavours and innovations. This combinations bring up the most spectacular flavors, some of the products used are Spanish pure Olive Oil or the Famous 'Pimientos del Piquillo One of Dani's creations is the 'Tarta Kamakura' combining different flavours together with Tuna and Salmon. Besides these fantastic new fusion dishes you can find all the traditional Japanese culinary recipes. Mrs Keiko takes care of the kitchen to make sure everthing is at it's best All this combined with a good variety of Spanish wines Red and whites. Average Price with wine: EUR 30.- Best regards Miguel Martin Malcolm (a satisfied customer) "
