Review:"Don't let the location fool you (strip mall). I followed the head sushi chef Johnny from a different location. Excellent service, skilled chef, great price! He serves you like he would want to be served (high quality, generous portions). Also, free delivery if you live within a few miles of the restaurant. "

"I was not so impressed with this locale. The ambience is good, as is the service. But the Futomaki was just *horrible*. :( And the nigiri sushi was as skinny as a woman's finger! What is that ? I will never go there again...Maybe they just need a different chef? "
- Angela Jones/Wiesemann (ibeg4sushi@yahoo.com) {May 19th 2002]
"This is clearly one of the better SUSHI Restaurants in Virginia. Both service and Food are excellent. "
- Mike Jacobs [June 2nd 2003]
"I ate at Yama while vacationing in DC. Try the 'fu fu roll' (sp?)- salmon skin with some amazing cream sauce on top- amazingly mouth watering! Have never had a roll that good- am I live in San Fran. was also impressed with the rest of my selections- especially the Bombay Roll. "
- Mike Lin (mikelin128@yahoo.com) [Oct 1st 2004]
