Review:" Opened in March 1999. After eating at Hiro Sushi you'll have a new favorite sushi bar! The owners Liz and Hiro are warm and inviting. You'll never a have complaint with the great wait staff. Hiro's is like Cheers, everybody knows your name. Or they will by the time you leave. This is the best sushi in Greenville and it shows in the consistant return of regulars. Try it out....you won't be disappointed. If your ever in the area you should check it out! You have a great web site going here!! Keep up the good work! "

"Ever since they opened the new restaurant the food has been horrible. They had a good thing going and now its gone. Good thing there is a hot new restaurant downtown across from the Funkyard. "
- Freeman (gos325@home.com) [February 28th 2001]
"Was at a Outdoor trade show and dinnered with 8 of my fellow Reps and sales managers-We Had the Shiromi Usuzukuri--(thinly sliced white meat sashimi with a spicy ponzu sauce) it was wonderful. All the food we hade was very good but there were so many people in the Restaurant that it affected the enjoyment of eating Japanese food. "
- Steve Schneider (fiveten10@aol.com) [August 27th 2001]
"The Eastern Outdoor Reps Association had there fall trade show in Greenville and I was happy to find that Irashiai had moved from Downtown to a locations two streets from the show.Dan Eubank a sales rep for Lafuma;Paul Fitzner owner of Etowah ultralite Equ and Matt Eubank went to dinner with me the first evening of the show at Irashiai. This was not the same restaurant that I had been to before. We started by Paul ordering the Mussels Yaki- (green lip mussels broiled in Japaneese mayonnaise) They were wonderful. Then things changed. I wanted to have Uni but they were out. I tryed to order toro, there was none to be had, how about a sashimi plater NO WE DONT HAVE THAT was the answer. I said that there was Chirashi Sushi which is Sashimi over rice could I get it with out the rice? NO! was the answer. Perhaps I was having a bad day but I had never been to a place that would not make a assortment of Sashimi for people. Everyone ordered and Paul and I had beer and the others ordered sweet tea. I did get the Chirashi Sushi and left the rice. Everyones meal was enjoyed my sashimi was fresh and good but it was no fun to be treated like we were. I do need to thank Paul for covering the tip as if it was up to me I would have left a tip reflecting the WE DONT DO THAT, CANT DO THAT, WONT DO THAT that was the bad part of having dinner at this new location. Sushi Murasaki (2)

Name:Sushi Murasaki (2)
Address:3229 North Pleasantburg Dr., Greenville, SC
Phone:(864) 271-8182
Review:"This is a sister location of the Sushi Murasaki in the downtown. Used to be a Asian restaurant and then converted to a Japanese Sushi restaurant. They also added the Hibachi table recently and it was very nice. I always had a good meal there. They also just had a new recruit joining their lineup to help spice up the menu a bit. The other chef has retired after years of service in this location. Sushi Chef Jack arrived from Atlanta has been pushing the pace with his knowledge and experience in a multi ethnic cooking background. A new menu is expected to happen soon. Already the sushi bar has made a great improvement. Not to say that the other chef was bad. I think Chef Jack is much, much more than the previous one. At times, I wish I was a bottomless pit so I can sit there all night and sample each and everything Chef Jack prepared for me. But look on the bright side, it gave me something to look forward to each time I visit this restaurant. The downtown location has a much different scene than the Cherrydale location. I enjoy them both. Well done!! "
