This is a tea and sushi bar. They have dozens of teas for every taste, very fresh sushi, great music (electronica, trance, etc.), and a wonderful overall atmosphere. Service is simply exceptional." |

| "Cha Yoon has a fantastic atmosphere, efficient service and the best sushi in Saint Louis. Try the Central West End Roll or if you like something spicy, try the Red Dragon or Spicy Tuna.

It opened in February, 2001, and the fact it has
a Thai owner does not keep it from serving
excellent sushi. Both the adults and the teenager in our group enjoyed the food.
A nice touch: you can order 'Sushi 101' an assortment of non-raw sushi for the faint of heart.

| "This is the best sushi place in the suburbs! My friends and I gather there at least once a week to eat some of their spicy tuna hand rolls, which are the best in the World! You must try one, once you do, you will be hooked!

| "A wonderful lunch spot! Who says you have work close to the city or CWE to get good sushi for lunch? My co-workers and I eat there at least once a week. Good , fresh sushi at a great price (lunch specials come with soup, salad, one roll and 3 pieces for $7.95)
One Tip : The service can be rather slow even when there seems to be no one else in the place - tell them you are in a hurry and it can be a very speedy lunch!

| "Good sushi takes time. The three of us agree that Sansui has the best sushi in town. The
restaurant rates a 100% - cannot be improved in any way. A cheerful talkative sushi chef makes
sitting at the counter here a real treat.

| "Best in St. Louis - I've been to all these listed. The Bento #1 is really great on the lunch menu." |
| - Trish (greypatches@hotmail.com) [August 30th 2000] |
| "The restaurant is named after its sushi chef, Seki, who has 40 years experience making sushi. The
restaurant has an authentic Japanese feel: you walk down a corridor with a large case displaying
wax food, and you are met with a Japanese greeting shouted by the chef or the waitresses when you
enter. The layout of the restaurant, the artifacts on the wall, and the Japanese TV piped in by
satellite all add to the authenticity.
Seki's sushi is all good, and the prices are reasonable (miso soup and green tea come free with
sushi orders!). However, the restaurant charges you extra if you need extra wasabi. Nice touch:
no cellphones allowed at the sushi counter.

Reviews: | "Located in historic Laclede's Landing, this sushi bar is part of a seafood restaurant, not
part of a Japanese restaurant. Do not let this deter you from dining here.
The sushi bar at the St. Louis Fishmarket is not extensive (no quail eggs, for example), but all
the basics are covered. The quality level is high, and the portions are large and satisfying.
The chef, Edwin Silva, apprenticed for nine years under one of the local sushi stars. Edwin says
that there are plans to expand.
We would jump at the chance to go back to the St. Louis Fish Market for sushi.

| "With my wife for her birthday we visited St.Louis to see her old home and church and school. We stayed at the Embassy Suites and went down for Seafood dinner. Their three person Sushi Bar was open though we went to a table for dinner. I started with Oyster Sampler 15 different oysters and then from the Sushi list had Sashimi of Maguro, Yellowtail, Salmon and Sea Bass. Followed by a yelly tail spicy hand roll. The St. Louis Fish Market has a good listing of Cigars with the two best being the DON DIEGO PLAYBOY and the COHIBA ROBUSTO and with there 20 Single Malt Scotch and nine Cognac they have REMY MARTIN LOUIS XIII at $140 a shot, with there over 200 wine bottle list is a good place to go and eat. | - Muljadi Budiman (budiman@mo.net) [November 17th 1997] |
| "Very average. Atmosphere is rather busy and there are grills behind the sushi bar that make for a little too much traffic. I really don´t like to see employees moving in and out of the kitchen around the bar. HOWEVER, if you can do a carry out, the fish is average to a little above, the rolls are better than the sushi, the portions are better than average, and the price is very fair." |

Tachibana to all our friends. The Sushi Chef, Kenji-san, is friendly and very good in preparing
excellent sushi.

| "They turned my eel into charcoal, then served it to me. The wife ordered tsukiyaki with chicken, the first time it came without chicken. We sent it back. They forgot about us. 30 minutes later after complaining, she got to eat. The sushi was small (about as thick as your finger) and nasty. Will never return.
