Rainbow Sushi Shinjuku (CLOSED !) Yuraku Japanese Restaurant

Rainbow Sushi

Name:Rainbow Sushi
Address:Great Seneca Highway & Mateny Road, Germantown, Maryland
Reviews:"We drive by the restaurant daily and decided to stop in one day. It was quiet and very clean. The food was ok, but the service was very slow. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and some california roll. California roll came quick, but it took over 30 minutes for the teriyaki. I tried explaining my opinion to the owner/employees, but they seems to not understand English well. It was a mistake stopping by. Next time, I will keep on driving by. "

"Rainbow Sushi is one of three (3) Sushi of the better know Sushi resturants in Germantown. Shinjuku is best for their buffet, but is very variable. Sushi Chalet has the best selection, but is buffet style only. Rainbow is consistent and fair to Good all the time on Sushi. Their kitchen on cooked things may get backed up. "

Shinjuku (CLOSED !)

Name:Shinjuku (CLOSED !)
Address:Corner of 118 and Clopper, behind the Exxon, Germantown, MD
Phone:(301) 528-5200
Reviews:"Shinjuku has been bought and sold several times since it opened several years ago. They now have only one chef, and he can quickly be overwhelmed. Their lunch buffet is only fair as the selection is limited and runs out as the chef falls behind. The good news is this means everything is freshly made. "

Reviews:"Excellent food and service at reasonable prices. Award-winning sushi chef has created many unique and really delicious creations (try the Volcano Roll!)."
- Dean Oyler (DeanOyler@aol.com) [October 19th 1997]
"This is the best sushi bar in Germantown, as far as I'm concerned. The lunch buffet has a smaller selection compared to some of the other resturants, but they are usually willing to add a particular roll to the buffet if you ask for it. Sometimes it can take awhile to be seated for dinner because of the amount of business they do there, but I think it's worth the wait. "
