Bea One

Name:Bea One
Address:220 Columbia Street, Lafayette, IN
Phone:(765) 742-6100
Review:"Bea One has all kinds of flairs of fusion cuisine from Korean, Japanese, and Thai. I was impressed by the servers explanation of all the side dishes and thorough knowledge of all the foods. "

Review:"It tastes grat, has a wide variety of sushi, its small, comfortable, clean, the service is very friendly and Bonsai is as authentic a sushi bar as I can ever hope for a block from my home. I highly recommend it for all lovers of anything Japanese and that side of the Pacific Rim."

Heisei

Name:Heisei
Address:1048c Sagamore Pkwy W, Lafayette, IN
Phone:(765) 463-1682
Reviews:"THIS COMMENT IS FROM THE CHOWHOUND MESSAGE BOARD: Heisei in West Lafayette in the Payless strip mall is a favorite for lunch, real classic sushi, $7 box lunches with teriyaki, tempura, soup, salad, and sushi. Their sushi is super. Had a business visitor from China there who was surprised he could get good quality sushi in the middle of cornfields, LOL! "
- Doug Schneider (ParadiseMO@aol.com) [April 7th 2003]
"If you are in Lafayette IN and looking for sushi... try somewhere else. The service was prompt, but the quality was lacking. Each piece of sushi was about half the size it should be for close to double the price. I have not seen the other places in that town, but you are best to try somewhere else."

Kokoro

Name:Kokoro
Address:514 MainStreet, Lafayette, IN 47901
Phone:(765) 742-8180
Reviews:"The best sushi in the world (ok, I haven´t been everywhere...)- incredible original sauces, plus traditional Japanese hot dishes. Plus, Tony (owner) makes the whole deal worth it. Quote: ´My way or highway!´"
- Tim Williams (btjack@ecn.purdue.edu) [February 22nd 1999]
"This review is from the Chowhound Message Board: Kokoro, owned by a guy named Crazy Tony, serves top-flight sushi. The service can be a little slow, and the management is quirky. Tony likes to get on the PA and say: 'This is not McDonald?s. If you are in a hurry, please go somewhere else'. The nigiri is great, and the maki is often the size of your fist. "

Phone:(765) 742-8180
Review:"I have been to some of the best sushi bars in the country, and Tony's is BY FAR the best sushi I have ever eaten. Yes, he is the sushi-traditionals: ...no hats, no extra sauces, no back talk... but it's well worth it! "
- Jeanine Phipps (jeanine@purdue.edu) [Nov 27th 2005]

Lafayette

"I recently had the chance to try this restaurant. I love sushi and theirs was great!! Fabulous portions, great taste, fresh fish and the service is great. I haven't had a chance to try many things on the menu but I'll be going back for the sushi without hesitation. "
