Reviews:"Sakura is as authentic Japanese as it can get. One of my Japanese Co-Worker recommended it to me. It is always full of Japanese people who know the difference. Sushi there is always large and very fresh. The atmosphere is just like the restaurant in Tokyo. It even has Japanese tatami rooms. If you are hungry try their bento dinner set. It is huge and very reasonable. "

"Excellent Japanese atmosphere with delicious (and beautifully served) sushi. Do be aware, though, they may use more wasabi than you're used to! "

Review:"Sankyu is as authentic as you can get. The people who work there are Japanese, and you can even sit on the floor, traditional style. There are always friendly Japanese customers and the staff is friendly. It can get pretty busy some nights, and some very quiet. They even offer private rooms, and Karaoke in those rooms. I have been to Japan and this is my favorite Japanese restaurant outside of Japan. "

The Kampai

Name:The Kampai
Address:2330 South Elmhurst Road, Mount Prospect, IL 60056
Phone:(847) 640-6700
Opened:Lunch and Dinner
Review:"I was at the International Casual Furniture Market in Chicago and stayed out near the Airport taking the Blue line in to the Show each day. The last night I was there, my fellow reps Joe File and Dave Reichert headed home early. Near my hotel was the Kampai and I thought to try it. You first walk into the small Drink Bar and through the Steakhouse to get to the Sushi Bar. I was the only person there at the Sushi Bar and started with a Yellowtail hand roll and ordered the Sushi Combination # C. The food was not bad nor special but for the middle of no place it was worth going there. "
