"Great selection of food, started off by amazingly GOOD appetizers, complimented with superb service throughout my dining experience. "
- Brian Y. [March 11th 2002]
"Excellent priced lunch specials. Sushi and rolls were average. The service is terrible--slow and unaccomodating."
- CY [April 16th 2004]

- Chris Metcalfe (chrism@ergoindustrial.com)[January 19th 2002]
"Fish used for sushi is fresh, but not as fresh as Prince Sushi's (which is not on this list and if it were, I'd rate it as the best sushi place in Mississauga). Fairly expensive items. "
- CY [April 16th 2004]
"Way to over priced. The fish is not fresh at all. They use rotten ingredients such as avocados (totally black). Don't waste your time and money, go to somewhere else. "

Iron Chef

Phone:(905) 212-9998
Review:"We've been looking for a great Japanese restaurant in Missisauga where they would serve the best sushi rolls and we found it! We tried the Geisha Roll and Spicy Salmon Roll and it was delicious! The rolls don't fall apart when you pick it up from the plate ...and the fresh salmon on the Geisha Roll melts in your mouth! And their prices are pretty reasonable as well. The bento boxes have good portions and good. "

Reviews:"This place is phenomenal! The service is polite, yet gracious and warm. The food is excellent...especially the sashimi. The atmosphere is very traditional and peaceful - I always feel like I've travelled to Japan while I'm there. Of course, you pay a little premium for this, but it is well worth it. I can't stay away from this place! "
- Shari Cooper (Sharicooper@rogers.com) [August 25th 2004]
"This is truely the best Japanese restaurant I have ever been to! The service is great and to top that, the food is awesome. It is authentic and many of its ingredients are imported from Japan (even its customers are mainly japanese, so it must mean your getting a real taste of quality japanese food!). Don't be fooled by the portions because even though the servings look small you will find your self full in no time and completely satisfied. The price may be a bit above average but totally worth it. I put this restaurant above any thats for sure! "

Reviews:"The best sushi restaurant in town. Serve you in 2 locations. "
- Juno Kim (junoman@kavenue.com) [July 21st 2004]
"Didn't try their Mon/Tues Happy Hour $1 sushi promotion because it seemed too sketchy. A few other people in the restaurant were having that and the sushi looked ok. We tried their tempura dinner and the portion was huge but the tempura wasn't very good. I think the previous reviewer's statement regarding this restaurant having the best sushi in town is very misleading."

Sai

Name:Sai Japanese Restaurant
Address:4555 Hurontario, Mississauga/Cooksville, Ontario, Canada
Phone:(905) 712-1615
Reviews:"Not the same old, same old sushi. Interesting combinations and ingredients, such as the Maple Log and the Rainbow Roll. The mussels (not actually sushi) have to be tasted to be believed. The service does not live up to what we´ve come to expect of Japanese restaurants, in part I believe because the owners are not Japanese (altohugh the sushi master is), but still a must if you are a sushi fan! "
- ecreid (ecreid@sympatico.ca) [February 22nd 1999]
"Try the Dynamite Roll you'll love it!! "
- K&J [July 5th 2002]

Reviews:" "
- Kristy Milland (kmilland@rogers.com) [Sept 26th 2003]
"A takeout sushi bar with limited seating if you choose to dine in. I found the place, in general, to be unsanitary and unkempt. The quality of ingredients used (fish, rice, nori wrap) were poor. Interesting selection of maki rolls (i.e., Mississauga Roll). Average price. "
- CY [April 16th 2004]
"Sora Sushi is a small family run business in central Mississauga. Ken and Mimi the owners are very experienced sushi chefs. Both being trained in an upscale Yorkville restaraunt. The quality of the sushi is supurb with fresh ingredience and excellent quality dishes. The place is very tiny but homey. The husband and wife team are wonderful hosts and greet everyone as if they their own children. This little place will appeal to neighbourhood patrons that enjoy the warmth of the owners and the small town feel. "

Address:670 Eglington Avenue W., Mississauga
Phone:(905) 712-9724
Review:"Upon being seated, me and my friend received green tea and five, yes five, korean side dishes that are simply delicious. We looked to the menu and found that lunch prices ranged from $7-13 and dinner prices at around $14. Good sushi, amazing cooked foods at low prices. Fruit and vegetables for dessert. To summarize, for $9 I received green tea, 5 korean side dishes, vegetables/fruit, salad, rice, chicken teriyaki, 3 pieces of nigiri sushi, and 6 california maki rolls. I love this place! "

Sushi Tei

Name:Sushi Tei
Address:4040 Creditview Rd., Mississauga, Ontario
Phone:(905) 306-9060
Reviews:"Good Sushi at great prices. For those who have trouble deciding, HUGE sushi platters (20 pieces + 6 california rolls) that include some exotic sushi (UNI, IKURA, TOBIKO) for less than 20 dollars. Lot´s of hidden extras too (One free house appetizer and free green tea ice cream if you order a meal)."
- Graeme Shiomi (graeme.shiomi@ac.com) [March 21st 1999]
"The sushi is good and very reasonably priced. The edamame and other appetizers are always enjoyable. However, the service is not up to par with most Japanese restaurants. This is largely due to the shortage of staff and tables to accommodate the very busy dining room. It is almost impossible to get a tea re-fill and your bill is promptly delivered to your table soon after you take the last bite of food- without even requesting it. A not-so-subtle hint that they would like you to vacate the table in order to seat the next set of patrons. I've chosen not to dine there anymore because of this fact alone. Good food/bad dining experience. "
- [August 8th 2001]
"New location is very large with great decor, service is improving and prices are still good. Definitely the choice for sushi in the area. "
- Matthew Mogilnicki (matt@pectab.com) [January 11th 2003]
"This restaurant is most often busy from opening until closing on any day. Service is terrible, so don't bother coming here for your lunchtime during work hours even if you do make reservations. The waitresses are always out and about, but seem oblivious to customers' needs. It really does take them a long time to refill your glass!!! And when it comes time to the end of your meal, somehow a waitress comes to hurriedly kick you out. The quality of food is average--but fairly priced. I find the sushi quality to be terrible. It is easily detectable that the ingredients used are not fresh. "
- CY [April 16th 2004]
"Yes, I agree the waitress sometimes want to kick you out of there, they are indeed busy. But the food tastes great and the price very reasonable. It is a good place for us common folks. "
- [April 18th 2005]
"The staff and managers are extremelyyyyyyyy rude. When they realized there was a misunderstanding with the reservations, they refused to compromise. They would talk to us, then walk off and speak in their own language, leaving their guests waiting at the door. There managers would talk as they walked off. They would use a very abrupt and condescending tone. In the end, they refused to seat us. So would I recommend this place? Of course, but only if you do not mind being made to feel like crap afterward by their poor selection of employees. I recommend any sushi restaurant but this. "
- [Dec 20th 2005]
"The restaurant changed ownership as of December 1, 2006. The waitresses (and now waiters) are no longer rude or impatient. The service is very marginally slower (as in, it's now extremely fast instead of instantaneous/lightning speed) but the quality of the already good food has increased significantly. Hooray! I'm not sure if the prices went up. I don't think so, or if they did it was only by a small amount. "
- Warren & Charlene [Jan 2nd 2007]
"Sushi Tei is one of my favourite restaurants. I go here often to eat in. I did notice a change in the service. The waitresses in the past didn't seem to come by and refill the drinks and want us out fast. The food is delicious. "
