| "If you were a fan of the Tokyo Noodle Shop back in 1999, you'll love this place.
Two of the guys who worked at TNS now work (and own) Fuujin. Fabulous ramen and donburi, and the
combo deals are huge portion-wise. They have done a little sushi and bento, but they are primarily
a ramen/donburi house - and they do it very very well. Definitelt stop here if you're in the mood
for either.

| "The Fujin is no more . It is now a restaurant called 'Ambrosia' which serves oriental 'fusion' food (korean/japanese) and sushi as part of a platter, but not individually.

| "Operated with great care and enthusiasm by Mr. and Mrs. Oda. Good prices, with
excellent deals on maki (12 to an order!). Ultra tasty, and, to my mind, the best in town.

Reviews: | "I heard a rumour that this place was started by the former head chef at the Japanese embassy and I can certainly believe it cause the food is FANTASTIC! The best sushi Iīve had! The ambience, however, is neo-run-down-greasy-spoon. Donīt expect much to look at (unless you take me), but definitely go for the food." |

| "Newly renovated, with an expanded menu. Definitely the best sushi (and japanese
cuisine in the city). Ultra-friendly owners, friendly staff. Best kept secret in the city." |

| " I think I read that this was one of the best Sushi places in town! Well the only
thing rite in that review was that the atmosphere is like a greasy spoon! I live rite by there and
love Sushi! I tried there's twice and was completely disappointed did not taste fresh at all! I
would rather drive further to get better sushi because this was not up to par!

| "I been eating at Kobe since they are open. Even I live in downtown they are my favour in Edmonton. From the last review it say the sushi is not fresh but it never happen to me. Their sashimi portion is the best in town and you have to try their Kobe steak. They serve it on a hot iron pan and with a gorgeous butter sauce." |

| "The food here is wonderful! In particular, great appetizer menu. And--which is surprising for a Japanese restaurant--they excel in their beef menu items. I just wish they would invest in some more appealing decor!

They have this awesome lunch bento box where there are 4 diff. kinds to choose from and they're only like $10! It's yummy and sushi is good for you *thumbs up*" |

Reviews: | "Oh, MAN. Generous portions, artfully presented. Very small restaurant, so make
reservations. I would recommend the Dynamite Roll and Rainbow Roll to those with a lust for fish.
Very friendly (if somewhat overwhelmed) service, with caring attitude - My Mrs. is deathly allergic
to fish, and she has yet to get ANY exposure. Very clean.
Particularly recommended when Tommy is behind the knife.

| "What a disaster: the fish is completely unpalatable at this resturaunt. Salmon, tuna, yellow tail, abalone, all frozen. The use of frozen fish for sushi is sacreligous. The fish was watery, the texture mangled beyond recognition and the flavour completely off. Mercifully, the fried oyster was edible, as was the unagi, although both were done heavy handedly with too much oil and tare. The tamago was uninspired, weak and too sweet, without any of the savoriness that is characteristic of a well balanced tamago. The Yaki hotate was actually quite nice, all fluffy and sweet, with a juicy scallop in the center. All that lovely presentation and atmosphere wasted by lack of decent cuisine." |

| "They've moved to this address . I will make no effort to go there. At their former location
Sushi was bland, portions tiny. My Mrs. had a beef soup deal, and the meat was 70% or more
gristle.
You can do better, and eat more, for less.
" |

| "Its not bad. not the best either, but they have an all you can eat deal for $25.99. and I eat a lot so its great. Quiet nice little place. Cheaper for me (student) if you like a lot of sushi/maki/ tempera/soup/springrolls and so on you will enjoy this place.Individual orders allowed too.

| "Stopped by because I heard great things about it
in a local paper. Extremely disappointed.
Terrible service with little enthusiasm (for
enthusiastic service, try Mikado or for friendly
service, try Wasabe Take-Out). Little variety
for a lunch crowd. Only one bento box selection
which is not advertised in the menu. When I
asked about the bento, the waitress pointed at
the folks sitting at the table next to me saying,
"There it is." What I did order, was average.
Best food is at the Sakura, Shogun or Wasabe.
No wonder this one is never full at lunch...

Try also the tempura - beyond wonderful. The bento box is HUGE!
The staff is excellent. They are extremely pleasant, and always happy to see you.
They have the rooms as well as a bar and tables - this is a very clean place.
Try this restaurant you won't be disappointed - but make a reservation.
