Kabuki

Name:Kabuki
Address:rue du marché aux poulets 32 1000 Brussels/Brüssel/Bruxelles
Phone:02/2188696
Opened:lunch and 6pm-11pm
- judit karlsson (judit.karlsson@gmail.com) [Feb 19th 2008]
"Sushi quality: fish 7/10 rice 5/10 wasabi 5/10. Very big place so no atmosphere and cold service.Very small portion of ginger and no refill. Price: a bit higher then deserved in my opinion; spent 42 euro alone on a sushi-sashimi boat for 1 + 4 conveyor belt plates (really not convenient) and 2x33cl local beer cans. "

Opened:11am-3pm, 6pm-11pm
Reviews:"Good and tasty sushi, freshly made by the chef behind the bar. The fish melts on your tongue. In center of Brussels close to 'Beurs/La Bourse'. (Enter the street across, after 50m on the little square on your right). Knowing it's only 40m from a (fast food) Sushi Factory the choice is quickly made. They have a really nice sushi boat for two persons for 54Euro. Prices are OK (3.5 - 6 Euro a roll) other japanese dishes also available. "
- Wout (wout3@hotmail.com) [April 18th 2004]
"The sushi is good, not great, and the prices are very high for such small pieces. Most of all, the whole restaurant smells of bathroom disinfectant, which is very disconcerting and of course unpleasant. "

" Excellent Japanese restaurant in the very centre of Brussels, near to the beautiful Marketplace. The restaurant breaths the atmosphere of an authentic Japanese restaurant. The food is exquisite and the dishes are arranged in a very beautiful way. It's rather expensive, but it's worth the money. Compliments to the chef ! "

"Sushi are in your stomach for a long long time, if you know what I mean...I really wouldn't recommend those 'sushi fast food'!"
- Agnès Moreau (magnes75@hotmail.com) [August 10th 2000]
"The sushi bar no longer has individual pieces of sushi for sale. You have to buy one of their overpriced, prepackaged sets of sushi. They also have dropped several items, such as inari, from their menu. Service is indifferent--they don't seem to care what customers want. Definitely not my first choice of sushi restaurants in Brussels. "

- Dennis Metten (denis.metten@village.uunet.be) [January 2nd 2001]
"Beeing regulary in Brussels, this place is the best place for sushi to be in. Don't risk to walk in without reservation, hours could be wasted by waiting. Best guarantee you can have: this tiny place is highly frequented by japanese. Enjoy ! Best futo-maki !"
- Sebastian Stahl (sebastian@keep-on-movin.de) [Feb 3rd 2005]
"Always busy occupied, and waiters not that friendly. Keep coming though, because, the best for sushi in town! "
- Paul (maspaul@yahoo.com) [April 17th 2005]
"Forget about this one! Last time we went there, we waited 1h45 for our sushis and we received our main course before them. Total panic in service. About the boss' wife (= the waitress) I never saw her smiling in 30 years... I know this place from the very beginning and situation is getting worse and worse. Not to mention the price, quite expensive for a so poor service and a so noisy place!"
